The Kink Academy is proud to present the first workshop, New to Kink, a weekend exploration for any novice, newbie, or new meat ... depending on what you’d prefer to be called! A variety of topics will be covered in depth, with 6 hours of class time per day (one hour, catered lunch provided) including dynamic and informational lectures, lots of hands-on demonstration, as well as plenty of time to practice! All instruction is personalized and geared to help each individual and couple get the most out of the weekend.  New to Kink March 14 & 15, 2009 10am – 5pm The world of BDSM and fetish includes an astoundingly large array of activities, emotions, toys, techniques, and philosophies. If you’ve just discovered The Scene, been playing on your own, or have been fantasizing for years and are starting to get more involved in real-time play, then this is a great introduction class to gain a better understanding of what you want to get out of not only your own sexual exploration, but your involvement in the kinky community. Learn a variety of basic and accessible ways of starting your kinky play as well has how to do it (and talk about it!) in a healthy and positive way.  This is class is appropriate for singles or couples of any gender or power dynamic.  Some of the topics to be covered:  - BDSM/Fetish language & vocabulary   - Discovering and expanding your kinky interests  - Communicating clearly about needs, limits, fears and desires  - Introducing kink/fetish/BDSM into your sex life  - Safety practices and techniques  - Playing at your level and bringing your fantasies to life  - How to meet people and have successful interactions  - Scene, event, and public dungeon etiquette and experiences  - Incorporating power dynamics and service training into your play   - Where and how to shop for your kinky toy-bag and closet  - Sensation play and how to explore ‘pain’ safely  - And lots, lots more!! Each Weekend Intensive includes the following:  - 12 Hours of demonstration and supervised practice time  - Catered Lunch both days (One hour each)  - The Kink Academy Workbook and Take-home Kit  - A discount coupon for future dungeon rentals and Kink Academy products Classes are limited to 20 people to ensure plenty of one on one time with the instructor.
